Background

Welcome to CASA Design, an award winning South African Architectural & Interior Design company based in Ballito, KZN. CASA Design is headed up by myself, Chantel Viljoen, and was founded in 2005.

My husband, Piet Viljoen, is a building contractor, and he runs another division of the company, called CASA Construction. We have teamed up on numerous occasions to provide clients with complete turnkey packages.

Having been involved in a variety of projects, such as residential developments, multi-storey apartments, mini-factories, office/retail etc, it is ultimately bespoke luxury homes that I enjoy most. I strive to give my clients the best possible design solution, based on their brief, whilst taking into consideration many factors such as location & weather conditions, site restraints, structural limitations, etc. It is important to me that clients feel their brief was understood and developed further into a home that suits them perfectly. Besides new–builds, I also enjoy home makeovers, completely transforming old houses into beautiful modern homes.

I have a passion for design and take on a few selected projects at any given time. I am personally involved in every project and prefer to draught my own building plans as well. I work in AutoCad and Revit, which makes it possible for clients to view their projects in 3D during the design process.

I am an animal lover, and enjoy spending time in nature. I love travelling, whether it is abroad to experience different cultures and architecture, or locally to experience the beauty and diversity our own country has to offer.
